Chili - Meal in a Jar
Add each ingredient (in order), shake the spices gently down into the jar to make everything fit.
2/3 cup THRIVE Tomato Powder
2/3 cup THRIVE Instant Red Beans
1 cup THRIVE Freeze Dried Ground Beef
1/3 cup THRIVE Freeze Dried Red and Green Bell Peppers (I omit these due to family preference and add another 1/3 cup of red beans)
1/3 cup THRIVE Freeze Dried Celery
2 T THRIVE Freeze Dried Chopped Onions
1 T flour
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp granulated garlic
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp sugar
Add oxygen absorber to each jar and seal, store in pantry 5-7 years. If using Mylar, good for 3-5 years.
To prepare Chile:
Remover oxygen absorber.
Combine chili mix and 7-8 cups water in a dutch oven or large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes.
**Add 1 cup of Macaroni to pot with the chili mix for Chili Mac
